Class of 2012 guard Rodney Purvis cut Kentucky and Louisville from the list of schools he is considering.
Scout.com reported that the five-star recruit from Raleigh, N.C., will choose from two in-state schools, Duke and N.C. State, plus Missouri.
"It's important for my family to be able to come see me play but at the end of the day I still have to do what's best for me," he said in an interview with Pack Pride, part of Scout.com. "So if Missouri is what's best, then that is what I'll do."
Purvis said recent recrui-ting additions at Louisville and Kentucky led to their being deleted from his list.

"Louisville is not in the picture anymore," he told Scout.com. "Once they got Kevin Ware, my family and I decided that I just take them off my list. (Kentucky) got Ryan Harrow so I felt that it was best for me to take them off my list, too."
Purvis said he isn't likely to add a school back to the mix. ""I already took three visits and all those schools, I can be pretty good at all three," he said. All those schools have great coaches and I can learn and develop and be a good player in college. That's basically what I'm looking for."
