James "Beetle" Bolden has been a busy guy since his breakout performance in last month's Sweet Sixteen.
The Holmes point guard is hoping to pick up his fourth scholarship offer soon, and he has spent the past few weeks working out with the Lexington-based Travelers of the Nike-sponsored EYBL.
On Friday, Bolden will make his EYBL debut in Los Angeles. It'll be his first trip to the West Coast and his first time on summer basketball's biggest stage.
Bolden and the Travelers are scheduled to play 19 games in four different cities over the next six weeks. The circuit's regular season wraps up in Minneapolis next month, when Bolden gets a chance to face off against Tyus Jones, the No. 1 point guard in the class of 2014.

"I'm looking forward to the challenges," Bolden told the Herald-Leader. "I keep on hearing that there are going to be game-changing moments and it's a big-time stage. It's just going to be a whole different atmosphere of basketball."
Bolden has been nursing a hip injury in recent weeks, but he said after Sunday's practice that he was "about 85 percent" and hopes to be fully healthy by Friday night.
The sophomore guard has also been busy off the court.
He visited Purdue last week and left with his third scholarship offer. Bolden already had offers from Xavier and Ohio University, and he'll take an unofficial visit to nearby Cincinnati in the next few days.
He's expecting more good news. "I'm pretty sure that they're going to give me an offer, too," he said. "It would be tremendous."
Bolden is hoping to take a visit to Kentucky — his "dream college" — next week after he returns from California and before the Travelers head off to Hampton, Va., for another EYBL session that starts April 26.
Holmes Coach Jason Booher has been handling most of the recruiting calls and has stayed in regular contact with the UK staff.
"I'm just going along for the ride," Bolden said.
