McDonald's All-American Rashad Vaughn announced Tuesday that he will reveal his college decision this weekend.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard recently narrowed his list to Kentucky, Iowa State, UNLV and North Carolina. Of those schools, he has taken official visits only to Iowa State and UNLV.
Vaughn — a senior at Findlay Prep (Nev.) — was planning to take official visits to UK and UNC later this season, but he has cancelled those plans. He did take an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill last year. Vaughn has never visited Lexington, making it unlikely that he will pick the Wildcats.
UK already has signed point guard Tyler Ulis and shooting guard Devin Booker for the Class of 2014, but Coach John Calipari said earlier this season that he would like to add at least one more backcourt player. Current freshman Dominique Hawkins will return for next season, and freshmen guards Andrew and Aaron Harrison could also be back at UK.

Scout.com ranks Vaughn as the No. 13 overall prospect in the senior class. He's the second-highest-ranked uncommitted recruit behind Texas center Myles Turner. The only other uncommitted guard in the Scout Top 100 is Huntington Prep's JaQuan Lyle, who is not being recruiting by UK.
