It didn’t take long for UK to roll a Yahtzee following Saturday night’s upset victory over South Carolina.
Four-star cornerback Jordan Griffin told the Herald-Leader after the game that he has committed to the Wildcats. Griffin was one of many high-profile visitors hosted by Coach Mark Stoops and the UK staff Saturday.
ESPN ranks the 6-foot, 170-pound prospect from Jonesboro, Ga., as the No. 7 cornerback in the junior class. He also has reported scholarship offers from Clemson, N.C. State, Ole Miss, Cincinnati and Wake Forest.
Griffin is a friend and high school teammate of Zerrick Cooper, who is considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in the class of 2016. UK and Clemson are the two schools currently at the top of Cooper’s list.
The Cats now have three commitments for the class of 2016, with Griffin joining in-state standouts Landon Young and Zy’Aire Hughes.
