KSU names Moore basketball coach

The interim head men's basketball coach at Kentucky State University has been hired as head coach, school officials announced.

Clarence Moore served as an assistant coach before serving as interim head coach for one year.

Moore, a Norco, La., native, has won a state championship in high school as a player, according to a news release.

"He emerged as the best candidate for us because of the way he brought the team together," said Denisha Hendricks, Kentucky State University's director of athletics.

Moore previously coached at Paideia School in Atlanta, Ga., and Waggener Traditional High School in Louisville.
