Pikeville did not make it back to Kansas City, Mo., to defend its national championship, but four other schools will be on hand to represent Kentucky when the 75th NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Championship tips off Wednesday.
Lindsey Wilson (21-9) is the highest-seeded Kentucky team at No. 8. Georgetown (24-8) is seeded 14th. Campbellsville (21-11) and Cumberlands (20-11) are not among the 16 seeded teams in the 32-team tournament.
Lindsey Wilson, which won its first outright Mid-South Conference regular-season title, is making its 10th NAIA appearance and first since 2009. Georgetown, which reached the NAIA semifinals last season, is making its record 21st consecutive tournament appearance.
Cumberlands enters as champion of the Mid-South Tournament. Campbellsville got an at-large berth and will make its ninth appearance.
