Former University of Kentucky point guard John Wall of the Washington Wizards has accepted an invitation to attend USA Basketball's training camp in Las Vegas next week, the organization announced Friday.
Wall will join DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors and Chandler Parsons of the Dallas Mavericks as newcomers to the roster for training camp next Monday through Thursday.
"I am honored to be invited back to participate with USA Basketball and to have the opportunity to represent my country," Wall said in the Wizards press release. "I am also proud that Bradley (Beal) and I will be able to represent the Wizards organization together while competing for roster spots against our peers from around the league."
This won't be Wall's first experience with USA Basketball. Last year, he participated in the National Team mini-camp and scored 10 points in the USA Basketball Showcase. Wall was also a member of the 2012 USA Men's Select Team that trained against the USA Basketball Men's National Team that went on to win the gold medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

"We are excited that John is now able to participate in our training camp. He had an outstanding season with the Wizards and was a strong performer for us at last year's National Team mini-camp," said USA Basketball National Team Managing Director Jerry Colangelo. "As we've said in the past, we can only extend the invitations to be part of the USA team; the players have to make the fins decision and sometimes that decision changes because their circumstances have changed."
Wall becomes the third former Wildcat invited to the camp, joining DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis. Former Morehead State star Kenneth Faried is also part of the roster.
In his fourth season as a pro in 2013-14, Wall made the Eastern Conference All-Star team for the first time and led the Wizards to the second round of the playoffs, averaging 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
The Team USA roster, coached by Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, will include 19 players after the addition of Wall, and the departure this week of Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin.
The roster will be trimmed to 12 before the team travels to Spain to play in the FIBA World Cup Aug. 30 through Sept. 14.
USA National Team members at the Las Vegas training camp will be: Bradley Beal (Washington); DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento); Stephen Curry (Golden State); Anthony Davis (New Orleans); DeMar DeRozan (Toronto); Andre Drummond (Detroit); Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City); Kenneth Faried (Denver); Paul George (Indiana); James Harden (Houston); Gordon Hayward (Utah); Kyrie Irving (Cleveland); Kyle Korver (Atlanta); Damian Lillard (Portland); Kevin Love (Minnesota); Chandler Parsons (Dallas); Derrick Rose (Chicago); and Klay Thompson (Golden State) and Wall.
