Georgetown 86, Cumberlands 73: Former Fleming County standout Troy Steward went 3-for-3 from three-point range and finished with 21 points and six rebounds in the Tigers’ win in Williamsburg. Tony Kimbro (Jeffersontown) and Noah Cottrill added 16 points apiece for Georgetown. The Patriots got 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists from Xavier Owens.
Oakland 85, Northern Kentucky 74: Kay Felder had 24 points and 10 assists as Oakland pulled away with a late run to win at Highland Heights. Drew McDonald (Newport Central Catholic) had a career-high 23 points to go with eight rebounds for the Norse.
Mercer 85, Samford 70: Darius Jones-Gibson (Tates Creek) scored 17 points and had seven assists, but the Bulldogs (11-12) lost their fourth straight game.
Life (Ga.) 77, Lindsey Wilson 63: Bryan Wallace (Montgomery County) scored 22 points and had five rebounds and three steals in the Blue Raiders’ loss.
No. 3 Notre Dame 68, Duke 61: Madison Cable scored 18 points and visiting Notre Dame won its 14th straight game. Rebecca Greenwell (Owensboro Catholic) had 16 points to lead Duke. Her twisting, left-handed layup with 7 minutes left put the Blue Devils up 55-50. But they followed that with 10 empty possessions while Notre Dame took over.
Georgetown 44, Cumberlands 40: Jessica Foster scored a team-high 10 points in the Tigers’ victory in Williamsburg. Emilie Ziese added seven points, 13 rebounds and two blocks. Cheyenne Madden (Clay County) led the Patriots with 15 points and seven rebounds.
South Carolina-Kentucky: South Carolina could be without senior starter Asia Dozier when the No. 2 Gamecocks face No. 18 Kentucky on Thursday night. Dozier injured her right hand in a win over Texas A&M on Sunday. Dozier, who has started all nine Southeastern Conference games for South Carolina (21-0, 9-0), is averaging 3.2 points per game.
