High school football: Friday night's top individual performances

Some of the top performances from the eighth week of Kentucky high school football:

Branden Leff and Logan Holbrook, Spencer County: The backfield combo combined for over 400 rushing yards in the Bears' wild 47-42 win over Franklin County.

Leff led the way with 233 yards on 24 carries while Holbrook chipped in 199 on 21 rushes. They each had three TDs.

Dillon Wheatley, Lexington Christian: He carried 28 times for 323 yards and six TDs in the Eagles' big win at Middlesboro. The standout sophomore also had four tackles and was in on a sack on defense.

Keith Guy, Scott County: He rushed for 106 yards on 13 attempts and caught two passes for 74 yards in the Cards' huge road win at Henry Clay. He rushed for and caught a TD.

Joquise Buford, Henry Clay: In the Blue Devils' loss to Scott County, the senior carried 17 times for 158 yards and two TDs. He nearly averaged a first down per carry at 9.3 yards.

Bryce Workman, Johnson Central: The Golden Eagles' quarterback rushed for three TDs and had two interceptions on defense in their win at Greenup County.
