BOYS

■ Lafayette relied on its 'D' and its Dee to post its first win of the season. The Generals (1-2) held host Madison Central to 30.2-percent shooting, and guard Dee Yarbrough scored a game-high 32 points in the 67-51 victory. Yarbrough went 11-for-20 from the field and 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Guard Dominique Hawkins had 14 points for Madison Central (1-2), and forward Nick Ford had 12 points and a game-high 19 rebounds.

■ Senior guard Chris Hayes made four three-pointers and scored 28 points for Holmes in an 88-44 rout of host St. Henry (0-2). Holmes (2-0) led 55-15 at the half.

■ Senior center Sam Dye had 35 points and 11 rebounds, and host Bath County (4-0) rallied from an 11-point deficit in the first quarter to beat Paris 72-62. Paris (0-3) led 31-22 at the half but was outscored 29-11 in the third quarter.

■ Junior center Sawyer Williams had 26 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots to lead Owen County (3-1) to a 77-44 win over visiting Carroll County (2-1).

GIRLS

■ Leading by one point after three quarters, host Paul Dunbar (2-2) closed the game with a 25-14 run to beat Tates Creek 67-55. Sophomore center Lakeena Parks had 24 points and 10 rebounds for Paul Dunbar. Junior forward Morgan McEldowney added 10 rebounds. Junior center Peyton Hisel led Tates Creek (1-3) with 14 points.

■ Senior Candace Morton had 19 points for Henry Clay (1-3) in a 51-39 loss to visiting Dixie Heights (4-0).

■ Host West Jessamine launched a 22-4 run in the second quarter and beat Washington County 57-37. Freshman forward Ashlee Rose had 13 points and 10 rebounds for West Jessamine (1-4).

■ Anderson County (3-0) jumped to a 41-11 halftime lead and rolled to a 79-46 win over visiting Spencer County (0-4). Freshman guard Makenzie Cann made seven three-pointers and scored 29 points to go with six assists for Anderson County. Junior center Sidney Brown added 21 points and 13 rebounds.
