The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has changed its schedule of state football championships in Bowling Green to accommodate forecasts calling for bad weather.
The Scott County-Meade County Class 6A championship game has been moved to Saturday and the Bowling Green-Pulaski County Class 5A game has moved to Sunday.
The Collins-Highlands Class 4A game has been pushed earlier Saturday.
"Though there are dozens of factors that went into the schedule revisions, the first and foremost concerns have been competitor safety, and the travel needs of the entire school communities, especially the evenings when ice is highly anticipated. All 12 schools through their senior administration, have been involved in the lengthy discussions about options," according to a press release on the KHSAA website.
