"I honestly don't know much about Notre Dame," Dunbar Coach Tom Morgan said. "We're going to prep for them tomorrow (Sunday). And they're just another team. Hopefully our defense will stay strong and we can maybe pull out another victory."
Dunbar also beat Henry Clay during the regular season, 1-0 on Oct. 1.
"They played very well," Morgan said of his team. "We played very well defensively. It was a very roller-coaster game. It was back and forth, 20-minute spans of them dominating the game, 20-minute spans of us kind of controlling the game. Just very back and forth.
"I was just very proud of them. They just really kept composure and really fought to get this win tonight."
The Blue Devils (13-5-4) had a four-match winning streak snapped.
"It was a tough way to go out, but I give credit to Tom and the Dunbar girls. They fought all the way to the end," Henry Clay Coach Mebit Aragaw said. "We started the game well and as the as the game went on, I think our players ... started getting frustrated. They started rushing things.
"But overall it was just a great run and a great season. Great leadership from the seniors we've got, all season. It was a helluva run for us."
