Friday's stars: Top high school football individual performances around Kentucky

Friday night's top individual performances from high school football playoff games in Kentucky:

Dillon Powell, Simon Kenton (Class 6A): The junior running back went for 201 yards and two TDs to propel the Pioneers past Lafayette on the road.

Reese Ryan, Lexington Catholic (Class 4A): The senior threw five touchdowns and ran for another — all in the first half — in the Knights' 43-20 win over Rockcastle County.

Quinton Baker, Ashland Blazer (Class 4A): The University of Kentucky Class of 2016 commit rushed for 236 yards and both Blazer TDs in their 30-15 loss at Highlands.

Elijah Sindelar, Caldwell County (Class 2A): The Purdue commit set a state record with 40 consecutive games with a TD pass in the Tigers' 44-6 win over Ballard Memorial.

Trajon Bright, Mayfield (Class A): The sophomore pummeled the Bethlehem defense for 224 yards and four TDs in the Cardinals' 48-0 win.

Kevin Kuriger, South Oldham (Class 4A): He rushed for 148 yards in the Dragons' 48-38 loss to visiting Anderson County.
