FRIDAY'S KICKOFFS

CITY GAMES

Boyle County (11-1) at Lexington Catholic (9-3), 7:30 p.m.: Dave Cantrall rates Boyle County a slight favorite. The Rebels' only loss this year was to the Knights. The winner of the rematch will play either Highlands or Covington Catholic in next week's semifinals.

TOP STATE GAMES

Frankfort (10-1) at Beechwood (10-2), 7:30 p.m.: This is the seventh time in eight years these teams have met in the playoffs. Frankfort won for the first time last year, 35-21.

DeSales (11-1) at Louisville Christian (10-1), 7:30 p.m.: The Centurions beat the defending state champions 17-0 a month ago. Cantrall rates DeSales and Louisville Christian 1-2 in Class 2A.

St. Xavier (8-4) vs. Trinity (7-5) at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, 7:30 p.m.: St. Xavier beat the Shamrocks 35-21 last month to end a seven-game skid in the series. Trinity leads the rivalry 38-37-2.
