Jacob Abbott's walk-off single scored Blake Marshall as No. 2 Lafayette rallied to beat Lexington Christian 6-5 in eight innings in the 43rd District baseball finals Wednesday night.
It's the Generals' first district title since 2005.
Lafayette and LCA both advance to the 11th Region tournament, which begins Monday at Henry Clay.
Lafayette, which brought a 9-0 record against district opponents into the game, had an uphill battle against LCA.

The Eagles jumped ahead 3-0 in the first inning and didn't trail until the last play of the game.
"We were chasing them all night," Generals Coach Chris Langston said.
Sam Shelley come on in relief of Alex Daniel in the fourth and went the rest of the way to earn the win for Lafayette, which ran its record to 32-5.
"It was another example of how determined we are," Langston said.
"We feel good going into the region because we know what we're good at.
"If we play defense and out pitching comes through, we know we have a chance against anybody.
"We know who we are, and we stick to it."
