Three of the four champions in the Lexington soccer districts will be determined on Thursday.

The boys' and girls' 42nd District finals take place at Bryan Station. The boys' 43rd District finals go down at Lafayette.

The girls' 42nd finals pits Henry Clay (8-7-2) against host Bryan Station (10-4-3) starting at 6 p.m. The regular-season meeting went Henry Clay's way, 2-0 on Sept. 9.

Henry Clay beat Sayre 4-0 and Bryan Station advanced against Scott County, 1-0, in Tuesday's semifinals.

Henry Clay (16-2-1) and Sayre (11-3-4) meet in the 42nd boys' finals. The Blue Devils won 3-1 in the regular season meeting between the two on Sept. 29. That game's scheduled to begin at about 8 p.m., following the girls.

Henry Clay defeated Scott County 5-1 and Sayre defeated Bryan Station 3-0 in the semifinals on Wednesday.

The Herald-Leader will provide live updates from both 42nd District championship games.

Paul Laurence Dunbar (14-6-1) and Lexington Catholic (10-9-2) meet in the boys' 43rd District finals at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Bulldogs got past host Lafayette 2-1 on Wednesday. LexCath advanced against Tates Creek with a 4-2 edge in penalty kicks, also on Wednesday.

  • The girls' 43rd championship also pits Paul Dunbar (12-7-2) and Lexington Catholic (17-2-2) against one another. That game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at Tates Creek.

    Dunbar defeated Lexington Christian 2-0 and Lexington Catholic defeated Tates Creek 2-1, both on Tuesday.

    On both the boys' and girls' side Woodford County and Franklin County will vie for district titles tonight in Frankfort. The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys' game to follow at 8 p.m.

    In the 44th, both Madison Central and Madison Southern will face off for boys' and girls' championships. The girls play at 6 p.m. and the boys will follow. Those games will be played at Madison Southern.
