Jumping Through Hoops: Station girls beat Tates Creek

Girls

■ Junior guard Mikyla Mosby scored all 26 of her points in the second half, and Bryan Station recovered from a double-digit halftime deficit to beat visiting Tates Creek 65-62 Thursday night. Senior Betsy Goodin scored 11 points for the Commodores, who led 32-21 at halftime before the Defenders exploded for 44 points in the second half.

■ Sophomore guard Natalie Greenwell scored 21 points and grabbed 10 steals to lead No. 3 Elizabethtown to a 68-36 rout over visiting Henry Clay. Candace Morton led the Lady Devils with 13 points.

■ Senior guard Lindsay Fultz scored 36 points as Anderson County coasted to a 62-22 win at West Jessamine.

■ Senior guard Ashley Hall scored 16 points and visiting Hazard used a big 20-point third quarter to beat Estill County 56-44.

■ Host Perry County Central junior forward D.J. Shepard had 35 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead a 90-79 win over Powell County in the Queen of the Mountains Tip-Off.

■ Eighth-grade point guard Ashlee Daugherty scored 29 points to go with six assists and eight steals in Jackson City's 97-50 win at Riverside Christian.

Boys

■ Senior guard Vee Sanford scored 21 points despite sitting out the entire fourth quarter in No. 9 Lexington Catholic's 83-61 win over St. Henry.

■ Junior forward Joey Wallace had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Madison Southern defeated visiting Washington County 75-58.

■ Seniors Mike Satterwhite (16 points and 14 rebounds) and Joe Weber (15 points and 11 rebounds) led Western Hills to a 75-47 home victory over Spencer County.

Harlan County's T.J. Green dribbled the length of the floor for a layup as time expired to give the Black Bears a 66-65 win at Pineville. The Mountain Lions' James Strange scored 30 points and made a basket with :07 left to put Pineville ahead 65-64.

■ Host Johnson Central got 22 points from sophomore Cody Parker and a double-double from senior Mike Conley in a 67-63 win over Sheldon Clark. Conley had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles, who were tied with Sheldon Clark going into the fourth quarter.

Nicholas County junior forward Kyle Campbell scored 26 points to surpass 1,000 points for his career, but the host Bluejackets lost to Menifee County 78-65.

Trigg County's Zeke Wright (25 points and 11 rebounds) and Jonathan King (19 points and 11 rebounds) led a 64-57 win over visiting Fulton City.
