Girls

■ University of Kentucky signee Sarah Beth Barnette scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 10 Lexington Christian to a 74-54 victory over East Jessamine in the Kentucky Challenge at Lexington Catholic. Barnette was 11-for-15 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range in 19 minutes of play. Alexus Calhoun led the Jaguars with 17 points off the bench.

■ Octavia Wilson made five three-pointers and scored 19 points to help No. 19 Lexington Catholic defeat visiting Jackson County 75-41 in the Kentucky Challenge. Twelve different players scored for the Lady Knights, who forced 36 turnovers.

■ Chelsea Craig scored 19 points to go with 11 rebounds in No. 25 Franklin County's 58-43 victory over Seven Hills (Ohio) in the Kentucky Challenge.

■ Junior forward Leanne Mullins banked in a long, contested three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Menifee County to a 46-44 victory over visiting Estill County for the Lady Cats' first win of the season. Mullins led all scorers with 25 points.

■ Junior guard Danay Fothergill scored 33 points and made all 12 of her free throws in Southwestern's 79-50 victory over visiting Pineville. Fothergill was 5-for-7 from three-point range. Junior center Jessica Pierce added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors.

Boys

■ Freshman guard Mike Smith had 22 points and six steals to help send Sayre to a 93-55 win over visiting Williamstown. Sophomore guard Reed Freeman contributed four three-pointers and 21 points for the Spartans.

■ Madison Southern jumped out to a 19-point lead by halftime and coasted the rest of the way for a 56-41 win over Model in the championship game of the Berea Invitational. Carrington Roberts led the Eagles with 15 points and eight assists and Joey Wallace had 14 points and eight rebounds.

■ Senior forward Jacob Russell had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Anderson County got out to a fast start in a 65-39 victory over visiting Gallatin County.

■ Junior center Wes Rowe recorded 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead Pikeville to a 79-42 home victory over Rose Hill Christian.

■ Senior guard Taylor Maze had 33 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead Bath County to a 79-64 victory over visiting South Point (Ohio). Senior center Brad Stump added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Bath County.
