High school basketball highlights: Dec. 6

Boys

■ Sean Lemanna had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead Paul Dunbar to a 65-55 win at Lafayette. William Gary added 17 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs (3-1), who won despite making one of 15 three-point attempts.

Dee Yarbrough led all scorers with 22 points, but Lafayette (0-2) had just six assists to 21 turnovers. Jackson Davis added 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.

■ Senior forwards Travis Montgomery and Curtis Crabtree posted double-doubles to help Boone County (3-0) to a 54-44 victory at Covington Holy Cross (0-1). Montgomery had 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Crabtree had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

■ Sophomore guard Kyle Brown hit five three-pointers and scored 22 points, but it wasn't enough for West Carter, which fell to host Rowan County 59-53.

■ Senior forward Coty Riley was 5-for-5 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line in the second half to lead Lewis County (1-1) to a 72-62 win over visiting East Carter (0-2). Riley finished with 22 points.

■ Senior forward Sam Dye had 24 points, 16 rebounds and six blocked shots to power Bath County to an 82-53 rout at Rose Hill (1-3). Senior guard George Carpenter added 20 points, six rebounds and five assists for Bath County (3-0), which took control during a 23-4 run in the third quarter.

Girls

■ Senior guard Kristen Stainback scored 24 points, and host Scott County (3-0) forced 33 turnovers in a 76-34 rout of Sayre (2-1). Freshman forward Tereka Guyn added 10 points and five rebounds for the Lady Cardinals. Sayre was led by center Gabby Bowie's 11 points and 12 rebounds.

■ Harrison County (2-0) beat Bourbon County 54-45 despite sophomore guard Kyle Hilander's 20 points and 11 rebounds. Bourbon County fell to 1-2.

■ Junior center Shikira Gregory had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead host Knox Central (1-1) to a 64-55 win over Middlesboro (0-2).

■ Sophomore guard Leeann Grider had 26 points, seven assists and six steals in host Russell County's 64-46 victory over McCreary Central (0-2). Grider shot 4-for-6 on threes. Senior center Tyla Bailey added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Russell County (3-1).

■ Freshman guard Rachel Potter had 23 points, six rebounds and five assists, and host Pikeville (1-3) posted a 53-42 win over Belfry (1-1).

■ Junior forward Susan Northcutt had 19 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to lead Williamstown (2-2) to a 55-46 win over Gallatin County (2-2).
