But the Blue Devils (10-5) quickly erased the 16-8 deficit, opened the second half with a 30-10 run and rolled to an 82-46 victory. Wes Kimball and Daniel Kiesling each scored 15 points for Henry Clay. Kimball was 6-for-7 from the field, 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Mike Smith scored 19 for Sayre (5-5).
■ No. 13 Tates Creek opened the game with a 31-4 run and blasted visiting Paul Dunbar 79-38. Ryan Fucci led the Commodores with 20 points. Dunbar trailed 51-14 at the half.
■ Senior forward Brandon Hager scored a game-high 16 points to lead West Jessamine (6-10) to a 98-47 rout at Burgin (5-5).
■ Senior guard Jacob Dixon had 27 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore forward Tyson Williams had a triple-double in McCreary Central's 71-44 win over visiting Monticello. The 6-foot-4 Williams had 17 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocked shots for McCreary Central (9-5).
■ Morehead State signee Deondre McWhorter had a game-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds, powering No. 12 Moore past No. 25 Fern Creek 84-53 in the Louisville Invitational at Doss. William Bryant added 18 points and 15 rebounds. Jerrell Moore led Fern Creek (12-4) with 17 points, all in the first half.
■ Junior Michael Terry made six of seven three-pointers and scored 24 points to lead host Fairview (6-7) to an 81-60 win over Rose Hill Christian (2-12). Senior guard Jared Hutchinson added a career-high 16 points and seven rebounds.
■ Senior guard Jaleel Gray had 35 points and six rebounds to lead host Holmes (11-4) to a 61-51 win over Lloyd Memorial (9-7). Holmes went 18-for-19 from the free-throw line.
■ Sophomore guard Chris Gillispie led all scorers with 25 points, and visiting Bourbon County (4-11) beat Paris 65-58. Senior forward Davion Griggs scored 20 points for Paris (2-11).
■ Eighth-grade Asia Sims scored a game-high 16 points, and Paris (8-5) beat host Deming 46-32 in a region All "A" Classic game.
■ No. 16 Newport Catholic erased a four-point deficit with 3:47 to play and beat No. 22 St. Henry 47-39 in the 9th Region All "A" Classic at Erlanger. Freshman forward Nicole Kiernan had 17 points and 12 rebounds for NewCath (8-3). Seniors Taylor Gamm and Abby Janszen had 11 points apiece for St. Henry (13-3).
