■ Christian Cunningham hit three of four three-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Henry Clay (4-3) past host Hazard (4-4) 62-50 in the Coal Classic. Matt Thompson led the Bulldogs with 16. Henry Clay outshot Hazard 54 percent to 45 percent and won the rebounding battle 27-22. Depth also was a factor as Henry Clay got 19 points off the bench while Hazard got only four.
■ Franklin County's Logan Woodside had 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in a 69-67 victory at Scott. Ryan Timmons added 11 points and six assists for the Flyers. Scott's Brad Morrison scored 22 points.
■ Freshman point guard Cameron Justice poured in 32 points to lead undefeated Knott County Central (7-0) past host Lee County (4-3) 88-68.
■ Woodford County (5-2) dominated the last quarter 18-5 to beat visiting Tates Creek (4-3) 54-43. Senior Dave Greenwell led the winners with 23 points.
■ Senior forward Zack Moran scored 39 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as visiting Male held off Christian County 66-63.
■ Senior guard Travis Smith scored 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead host Corbin past Carter (Tenn.) 77-58.
■ Lexington Catholic led by 22 with 6:19 to play but had to hold on for a 54-51 victory after visiting Paul Dunbar made a late charge. The Lady Bulldogs used a 13-0 run to close the gap and got to within 53-51 with 32 seconds left.
The Lady Knights' Alex Botkin was 11-for-13 from the field and scored 28 points to go with 18 rebounds and four assists.
Morgan McEldowney led Dunbar with 13 points and three steals.
■ Sayre opened with a 10-0 run and went on to defeat visiting West Jessamine 58-29.
The Lady Spartans were led by Maddie Mitchell's 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Gabby Bowie added 18 points, five rebounds and four blocks.
■ Madison Central (5-2) knocked off previously unbeaten Harlan County (8-1) in the semifinals of the Lady Pirates Holiday Classic.
WIth both offenses struggling, the speedy Larryn Brooks took over in the second half with six of her team's eight second-half field goals. She led all scorers with 24.
Harlan County, which turned the ball over 16 times, got 21 points from Miranda Davenport.
■ Senior guards Jasmine Whitfield and Mary Dye combined for 42 points and 22 rebounds to lead South Oldham past Simon Kenton 72-54. Whitfield has signed with Cincinnati, Dye with Bellarmine. ■ Sophomore Taylor Troxell came off the bench after senior Tiara Duncan got hurt and hit two free throws to lift Monticello past Rowan County 52-50 in overtime.Maleesha Hughes led the winners with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
■ Sophomore center Kayla Rankin scored 26 points to lead unbeaten Perry County Central (6-0) past Powell County (3-3) 71-34.
■ Letcher County Central (7-0) remained undefeated by beating visiting Scott County (3-4) 67-62.
■ Host Garrard County (5-2) edged Lawrence County (4-4) 56-51 after Taylor Porter, the visitors' leading scorer, left the game with an injured ankle in the first quarter. The winners hit 17 of 29 free throws, and Lawrence made only four of eight.
■ Host Blue Grass Baptist ran its record to 9-2 by winning two games and taking the title in the Shoot for the Kids Tournament, a fundraiser for the UK Children's Hospital. Senior Heather Haggard, daughter of Coach David Haggard, got 14 points in a 54-52 victory over Bluegrass United and 23 points in a 62-21 rout of Wesley Christian School.
■ Woodford County evened its record at 4-4 by winning two games and taking the Lady Pirate Holiday Classic at Berea.
Catie Fletcher scored 14 points to lead the Yellowjackets past Berea 57-31 in the semifinals and then had 17 as Woodford beat North Laurel 40-30 for the title.
■ Savannah Taylor had 25 points and nine rebounds and hit four late free throws to assure Mercer County's victory over visiting Pleasure Ridge Park 56-47.
