■ Madison Central, ranked ninth in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State, jumped out to a 26-13 lead and cruised to an 89-67 victory at Franklin County.
Dominique Hawkins scored a game-high 26 points and had four steals for the Indians. Quan Taylor added 18 points and six rebounds.
Lorenzo McCaskill scored 21 points and had three assists for the Flyers, and Rylan Rowe had 18 points and five rebounds.
■ Top-ranked Louisville Trinity leveled visiting Lafayette 99-41. The Shamrocks had 20 steals and scored 54 points off 38 turnovers. Trinity trailed 13-10 with 3:42 to go in the first quarter before going on a 20-0 run.
Charles Foster and Troy Saxton led a balanced attack with 14 points and four steals apiece for Trinity (23-3). Miles Rice added seven points and five steals. Generals star Jackson Davis was held to eight points and two rebounds.
■ Hazard sophomore Matt Thompson got an inbounds pass with four seconds left, drove into the frontcourt and hit a 15-footer to send his team's game against visiting Letcher Central to overtime, and the Bulldogs went on to win 49-43. Hazard's Tyler Triplett scored six of his 12 points in overtime.
■ Cody Johnson hit the game-winning free throws with two seconds left in double overtime in host Pulaski County's 59-57 upset of No. 11 Southwestern.
■ Host Simon Kenton was 15-for-20 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter of a 71-60 victory against No. 21 Clark County.
■ Freshman guard Ronny Carson had 22 points and 13 rebounds in host East Jessamine's 78-67 win against North Laurel.
■ Senior guard Adam Wing scored 14 points and got the 1,000th rebound of his career in No. 23 Rowan County's 67-56 win at Boyd County.
■ Heath Jackson had 21 points and Chase Fain scored 13 in West Jessamine's 67-60 victory at home against Wayne County. Fain also had eight rebounds and six assists.
■ Madison Southern junior guard Tyler Abshear scored 29 points in a 73-51 victory against visiting Western Hills.
■ Senior forward Zack Moran had 26 points and 10 rebounds in about 20 minutes of action and Male rolled over Brown 101-25.
■ Adam Hendrix scored 30 points and North Hardin knocked off host Marion County 63-50.
■ Peyton Hisel's layup at the buzzer gave Tates Creek a 53-51 victory against visiting Bryan Station. Hisel finished with 24 points.
Victoria McCoy scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Lady Defenders. Serena Sandusky, one of Bryan Station's stars, left early with a dislocated shoulder and did not score.
■ Walton-Verona went on a 11-3 run midway through the third quarter that sparked a 57-41 victory at No. 17 Lexington Catholic. Kara Taulbee led the Bearcats with 13 points and Courtney Sandlin had 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Lady Knights' Octavia Wilson scored 13 points and Alex Botkin had nine to go with seven rebounds and five steals.
■ Lafayette jumped out to a 24-8 lead and went on to defeat visiting Lexington Christian 66-45. The Lady Generals' Sarah Cooley scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Ken'yale Demus had 16 points, four rebounds and four assists. Kristen Jacob had 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Lady Eagles.
■ No. 8 Paul Dunbar jumped out to a 36-13 lead at halftime and went on to double up visiting Henry Clay 60-30. Jordan Fender, a junior guard, had 13 points and five steals for the Lady Bulldogs.
■ Raven Merriweather had 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in No. 8 Sacred Heart's 67-50 victory at home against No. 22 Louisville Christian. DaiJia Ruffin, Jazmin Smith and Kristin Matula each added 10 points for the Valkyries, and China Dow led the Lady Centurions with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
■ Sophomores Eriel McKee and Makenzie Cann combined for 27 of No. 7 Anderson County's 30 points in the second half to help the Lady Bearcats secure a 66-52 victory at Woodford County. McKee finished with 24 points and Cann had 20.
■ Harrison County freshman center Jordan Doran had 33 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in a 66-38 win at Paris.
■ Eighth-grader Anovia Byars had 21 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists in Bourbon County's 54-38 victory at Nicholas County.
■ Andria Hansford, a junior forward, scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Paintsville's 41-37 victory against visiting Johnson Central.
