The Defenders outscored the Yellowjackets by 14 in the third quarter to pull away. Bryan Station held Woodford County to 31.9 percent shooting from the field. Samuel Souers scored 15 points for the Yellowjackets.
■ Jacob Conway scored 31 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead Lincoln County, 13th in Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State, to a 66-61 victory against visiting Madison Central. Timmy Taylor added 13 points and 11 assists for the Patriots.
■ Mercer County’s Russell Sims helped scored 25 points to lead Mercer County to a 70-66 victory at West Jessamine. Will Henderson scored 18 points for the Colts.

Audriana Christopher scored 11 of her 17 points at the free-throw line and also had seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in host Scott County’s 65-60 victory over No. 24 Clark County in the Toyota Classic at Georgetown. Scott County led by as many as 19 points before Clark County rallied in the fourth quarter to make it close. Sandra Skinner led Clark County with 17 points, nine rebounds and two steals.
■ Ajaycia Cotton scored with 23 seconds left to give Clay County a 57-56 victory against Woodford County in the Toyota Classic at Georgetown.
■ Malaka Frank scored 17 points and Rebecca Cook had 11 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and three blocks in No. 4 Franklin County’s 68-42 victory at home against Bardstown.
■ Rachel Blake and Suzanne Miller scored 15 points apiece in Lexington Catholic’s 56-30 victory at Tates Creek.
■ Haylee Smith’s layup with 1:20 to go proved to be the game-winner as No. 25 Notre Dame edged Ballard, tied for fourth with Franklin County and Butler, in the Raatz/Fence Tournament at Mercy. Smith finished with seven points and 11 rebounds, and Elly Ogle added 13 points and 15 rebounds in the upset.
