Covington Catholic rallied from a two-point halftime deficit to defeat Henry Clay 73-58. Bo Shuh led the way with 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Colonels. Isaiah Tisdale had 16 points and three assists for the Blue Devils.
Louisville Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the Herald-Leader's coaches' preseason poll, bounced back from a loss in the semifinals by rolling to a 76-44 victory against Boyle County. Daniel Ramser had 16 points and six rebounds for the Shamrocks.
■ Knott County Central defeated Shadow Mountain (Ga.) 69-56 to advance to the fifth-place game at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Patriots (10-1) trailed by one at halftime but took control with a 14-0 run midway through the second half. Camron Justice was 10-for-17 from the field and 9-for-10 at the line to lead the Patriots with 32 points. Evan Hall and Chance Cornett both posted double- doubles. Hall had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Cornett had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Scott County, also playing in the Beach Ball Classic, lost 79-51 to St. Francis (Ga.) in a consolation game. Clarien Washington had 12 points, six rebounds and two assists for the Cardinals.
■ Siah Holifield scored 24 points, including four three-pointers, and had 12 rebounds and five assists in West Jessamine's 74-67 win against Clay County in the Berea Invitational. The Colts' David McCorvey and Brooks Ely each scored 14 points, and McCorvey also had 10 rebounds.
■ Sayre outlasted Atherton 59-56 in the Henry County Invitational. Jake Duby scored 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Jack Henderson added 11 points.
■ Host Conner got 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals from Taylor Gambrel in a 44-33 victory against Lexington Catholic in the LaRosa's Holiday Classic in Hebron. Caroline Lynch scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Lady Knights' loss.
Lexington Catholic followed that up later in the day with a 62-41 victory against Bullitt Central. Jay Ballard scored a game-high 14 points and had three assists in that one.
■ Dasia Kilbourne and Anna Arrastia scored 16 points apiece in Franklin County's 67-41 victory against Atlantic Sharks (Fla.) in the Landair Ladies Classic at Greenville, Tenn. Both Kilbourne and Malaka Frank had 13 rebounds.
■ Erin Boley had 14 points, six rebounds, six steals and three assists in Elizabethtown's 57-50 victory against Argyle (Texas) in the Naples (Fla.) Holiday Shootout. Rachel Warden added 21 points to help the Panthers reach the fifth-place game.
■ Scott County edged South Oldham 71-70 in overtime in the Community Trust Bank Invitational at Western Hills. Lauren Boehm had 17 points, 15 rebounds and four steals for the Lady Cardinals, and Juliette Smith added 18 points, three assists and three steals.
■ Allen County-Scottsville's Savannah Gregory scored 25 points to go with eight rebounds, six steals and two assists in a 62-41 win at home against Mason County. University of Kentucky signee Morgan Rich pitched in with 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in the rout.
