High school basketball highlights: No. 4 Dunbar boys whip Franklin Co.

BOYS

No. 4 Paul Dunbar 78, Franklin County 43: Darius Williams’ 22 points included the 1,500th of his career and he also had 20 rebounds in the Bulldogs’ win in the DMD Classic in Frankfort. Dunbar’s Taveion Hollingsworth was the game’s high scorer with 24.

No. 21 Lexington Catholic 78, Mason County 74: Luke Johnson scored 31 points and the Knights held off the Royals in Lexington. Zan Payne added 22 points, 19 rebounds and four steals for Catholic. Mason County got 18 points and 11 rebounds from Conner Sweeney.

No. 5 Lafayette 84, Campbell County 67: Harrison Lane hit six three-pointers and finished with 25 points in the Generals’ win at the DMD Classic in Frankfort. Ross Jenkins added 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Garren Bertsch led the Camels with 22 points, and Matt Wilson had 18 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.

GIRLS

No. 1 Elizabethtown 80, Fort Knox 7: Erin Boley scored 26 points to go with seven rebounds and seven steals in the Panthers’ road win. Rachel Warden pitched in with 10 points, four assists and seven more steals.

Bullitt East 63, Lafayette 45: Raegan Williams scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Chargers’ win in Lexington. Kiara Pankins had 22 points and nine rebounds for the Generals.
