Thursday's high school football: Henry Clay at Madison Central

Thursday's city football game

Henry Clay at Madison Central

Records: Henry Clay 1-5 (lost to Lafayette 14-0 last week); Madison Central 2-4 (beat Dunbar 47-23)

Zero sum: Henry Clay was blanked by Lafayette last week, ending a string of 116 games in which the Blue Devils had scored. The last time they were shut out was a 35-0 loss to Boyle County in 2002. Henry Clay managed only 137 yards against Lafayette, with Davion Jackson rushing for 102 of those. The Devils haven't scored in the fourth quarter this season.

Bad memory: Madison Central's biggest scoring output last season came against Henry Clay when it rang up 30 points. Unfortunately for the Indians, Henry Clay rang up 70 points. While the Devils have had trouble offensively most of this season, Madison Central has shown some punch thanks to Dominqiue Hawkins, who's rushed for 811 yards and 7 TDs, and Hunter Stocker, who's thrown for 651 yards and 7 TDs.
