Madison Central's Hunter Stocker threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Indians to a 26-7 defeat of visiting Lafayette, which entered Friday's matchup ranked 21st in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State.
All three of Stocker's TD passes covered more than 40 yards with the first going 43 yards to Dominique Hawkins. Hunter Allen and JaCory Mullins had 70- and 53-yard TD receptions, respectively.
The Generals didn't get on the board until the third quarter. William Johnson, who ran for a game-high 101 yards, scored on a 36-yard run.
Henry Clay 49, Paul Dunbar 6: Anthony Lindsey ran for three scores and Christian Todd passed for two more as the Blue Devils (3-6) won on the road.
Lindsey, who ran seven times for 30 yards, tallied from 3, 2 and 8 yards. Todd hooked up with Austin Blake for a 26-yard score and with Evan Lawrence on a 6-yarder.
The Bulldogs (0-8) got their only score as time expired in the first half on a 45-yard pass from Blake Martin to Emory Thompson.
Clark Co. 34, Tates Creek 13: Pokey Harris ran for three touchdowns and 196 of his team's 216 yards as the Cardinals won at home. Harris also returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown.
All of the yardage for Clark County (3-5) came on the ground, with Harris running 21 times. His scores covered 2, 74 and 21 yards. Mark Davis added a 28-yard TD.
Tates Creek (3-6) scored second-quarter TD runs of 2 and 8 yards by Dennis Oxendine, who finished with 140 yards on 24 carries.
Franklin Co. 56, Anderson Co. 24: Ryan Timmons ran for three TDs and Logan Woodside threw for three in the Flyers' win at Anderson County.
The Bearcats led 17-14 midway through the second quarter before Woodside threw for TDs to Daniel Anderson (60 yards), Sean Jarboe (13) and Greg Maupin (35). Timmons followed that up with a 22-yard TD run to give Franklin County a 42-17 lead with 7:21 to go in the third quarter.
Timmons finished with 175 yards on eight carries. Ethan Kelly ran for 155 yards and one TD for the Bearcats.
Highlands 77, Holmes 0: Patrick Towles, who has committed to play at Kentucky, threw five touchdowns passes in the first half of the Bluebirds' rout of visiting Holmes. Towles was 14-for-15 for 361 yards.
Junior wide receiver Jac Collinsworth had three catches, all touchdowns, for 87 yards. Collinsworth is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals star Cris Collinsworth.
Somerset 37, Lexington Christian 6: Tyler Megargle had three of his team's five interceptions and Alex Lange ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns for Somerset.
The Eagles' lone score came on a 98-yard kickoff return by Justin King.
West Jessamine 18, East Jessamine 13: The Colts used Romondo Tatum's 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to rally for their first win of the season. East Jessamine (5-3) had taken a 13-12 lead in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard run by Seth Hunt.
Breathitt Co. 62, Morgan Co. 8: Bobcats QB Richard Trent and tailback Will Collins both figured in five of their team's scores in a win at home.
Trent was 7-for-11 for 223 yards and two TDs and also had 122 rushing yards that included three scores. Collins carried the ball eight times for 185 yards and three TDs to go along with two TD catches.
Hazard 68, Jenkins 15: Evan Whitaker threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score for host Hazard.
Russell Co. 56, Clay Co. 0: Nick Britt had 225 yards on 15 carries and scored five TDs for the host Lakers.
