Thursday is the day for Kentuckians to buy discount $15 tickets for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games for general admission. The special promotion will be available only at www.ticketmaster.com/promo/1aoj1d from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Regular general admission tickets will go on sale Friday for $20 through May 31 as a special promotion. After that, general admission tickets will be $25 for adults. Children younger than 12 will be free with a ticketed adult.
The general admission, or Grounds Pass, does not allow entry into individual competitions of the Games, which will be Sept. 25 to Oct. 10. Anyone who already has purchased a competition ticket does not need to buy a Grounds Pass for entry on the day of the event.
Tickets will be available for purchase through www.alltechfeigames.com/tickets, at www.ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet, and via the Ticketmaster hot line, 1-800-745-3000. A special link will be provided through the Games' mailing lists and Kentucky-based media to connect buyers to the one-day sale.
The general admission tickets will allow access to shopping at more than 250 trade show booths, the Kentucky Experience tourism pavilion, the Equine Village and the Alltech Experience pavilions, and some of the Kentucky Horse Park's exhibits and museums.
A limited number of Flex Grounds Pass tickets will be available for $30. The Flex Grounds Pass can be used for entry on any one day of choice without selecting a specific date of attendance at the time of purchase.
The Games are the world championships in eight equestrian disciplines, including show jumping and dressage. For more information, go to www.alltechfeigames.com.
