Kroger to sell special passes to WEG

Shoppers at 166 Kroger stores in four states will be able to buy the special flex general admission tickets to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games along with their grocery items Sept. 1-24.

Kroger stores in Kentucky, central Tennessee, southern Illinois and southern Indiana will offer the Flex Grounds Pass ticket at a promotional rate of $25, instead of the standard $30 price.

The Flex Grounds Pass can be used for entry on any one day of the Games, without selecting a specific date when they are bought. Children 12 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult, except on Sept. 26 and Oct. 2 and 9.

Kroger stores selling the passes will feature Games logo signs around their entrances.

The Flex Grounds Pass will give spectators access to a wide range of activities on the Games venue, but not to any competitions. The activities include shopping at more than 250 booths, the Kentucky Experience tourism pavilion and Alltech Experience pavilion, the Equine Village and many of the Kentucky Horse Park's exhibits and museums.
