FINAL FURLONG

Jockeys Kent Desormeaux and Elvis Trujillo each received $2,500 fines, payable within 30 days, for misjudging the finish line in the third race Thursday.

* Julien Leparoux finished the meet as leading jockey and Patrick Biancone as leading trainer.

* Kentucky Derby hopefuls from Doug O'Neill's barn worked 6 furlongs yesterday: Liquidity went in 1:11 3/5, Cobalt Blue went in 1:11 4/5 and Great Hunter was timed in 1:13.

* O'Neill also worked Mistical Plan, his candidate for the Kentucky Oaks, in 1:13 2/5.

* Like Jazil, the Belmont Stakes winner who ran last in the Elkhorn Stakes, Stephen Foster Stakes-winner Seek Gold finished last in his first start back this year, a 6-furlong allowance race.

* Jockey Javier Castellano remains one win short of reaching his 2,000th career victory.
