Final furlong

Rainbow View, Europe's champion 2-year-old filly of 2008, won her first start of 2010 and her first effort under trainer Jonathan Sheppard when she defeated a quality field of five that included stakes winners Bon Jovi Girl and My Baby Baby in a 11⁄16-mile allowance race Friday. Rainbow View was previously trained by John Gosden and was making her first start since running fifth in the Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic last November. "I thought when she first came to us that we needed to build her confidence up a bit, that's why we chose to run her in an allowance spot rather than a stakes race," Sheppard said.
