Final furlong

■ Ten-year-old gelding Tahoe Warrior lived up to his name, turning back Fusa Code in deep stretch to win the ninth and final race on Wednesday's card at odds of 19-1. Tahoe Warrior, who is owned and trained by Wayne Rice, earned his 16th win in his 84th career start.

■ Keri This Day Lori broke her maiden in her 24th try, winning the third race on the card going 11⁄16 miles on the Polytrack. Keri This Day Lori is a 4-year-old daughter of Action This Day.

■ Millionaire Willcox Inn and Coolmore Lexington winner Winning Cause headline a field of nine horses entered Wednesday for Saturday's Grade II, $200,000 Hagyard Fayette Stakes at 11⁄8 miles on the main track. Willcox Inn topped the $1 million mark with his third-place finish behind Silver Max and Wise Dan in the Shadwell Turf Mile that was moved to the main track on Oct. 5.
