Coming up: There are no stakes races on Thursday's nine-race card. Stakes racing returns Friday with the Grade III Hillard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes for older fillies and mares going 11⁄16-miles. Grade II winner My Miss Sophia is the 2-1 choice on the morning line.
■ Grand Arch, making his first start since finishing 11th in the Breeders' Cup Mile last November, defeated a stakes-qualify field in the sixth race. The 6-year-old Arch gelding got his neck down to prevail over fellow graded stakes winner Sky Captain to earn his first victory since taking the Grade II King Edward Stakes at Woodbine last June 22.
■ Robert Evans' Unitarian will attempt to become the fourth horse to win the Grade II Dixiana Elkhorn in consecutive years Saturday when he faces 10 rivals in the 30th running of the $250,000 event at 11⁄2 miles on the turf.
The Dixiana Elkhorn, which had entries taken Wednesday, will go as the ninth race on Saturday's 10-race program with a 5:13 p.m. post time.
