Lexington Legends

The night at the ballpark

Highlights from Lexington's 12-7 loss to Kannapolis on Tuesday:

Offensiv e Battles

During the Legends' series with Greensboro over the weekend, four of the five games were rather low-scoring affairs. But Kannapolis posted 12 runs and 16 hits Tuesday night.

The Legends tacked on seven runs and 11 hits as the two teams combined for 19 runs and 27 hits less than two weeks after they combined for 20 runs and 28 hits in a 12-8 Kannapolis win June 14.

Streak Extended

Legends center fielder Brandon Barnes singled to center field in the eighth inning, extending his 13-game hitting streak. Barnes was 0-for-3 until he kept the streak alive in his final plate appearance of the night.
