KANNAPOLIS — Sergio Morales picked a great time for his only hit of the game Monday night.
Morales' two-out single in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Logan Johnson from second base and gave the Kannapolis Intimidators a 3-2 victory over the Lexington Legends.
The throw from Legends center fielder Steve Brown beat Johnson to the plate, but catcher Jonathan Fixler couldn't come up with it. The ball bounced away as Johnson slid in with the winning run.
The victory pushed the Intimidators' winning streak to seven games.
Lexington fell behind 2-0 in the first inning but tied it in the third on Brian Pellegrini's 13th home run of the season. Jordan Powell (1-7) took the loss.
