Leonhardt's gem sends Legends past Lakewood

Robert Leonhardt made his first win as a starter with the Legends one to remember in Lexington's 3-2 win over the Lakewood BlueClaws on Saturday night at Applebee's Park.

Leonhardt (3-7) gave up four hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings.

In his first nine starts with the Legends, Leonhardt was 0-5 with a 6.10 ERA. He has a 2-2 record in 10 appearances out of the bullpen.

Leonhardt faced just two batters over the minimum as the Legends' defense turned three double plays behind him.

Lakewood's only scoring came when Dominic Brown hit a two-run home run off Lexington reliever Jordan Powell with one out in the ninth inning.

Jay Pacella came on to get the last out and record his sixth save of the season.

Center fielder Steve Brown led the Legends with a 3-for-4 night that included a double, an RBI and a stolen base.

Eric Taylor and Brandon Barnes drove in the other two runs for Lexington.
