Four errors help Legends win 4-3

The Lexington Legends jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings and held on for a 4-3 victory at Augusta on Monday night.

Arcenio Leon (3-0) entered the game in the third inning and pitched 32⁄3 innings and gave up one run to get the victory.

Legends closer Daniel Meszaros pitched 12⁄3 scoreless innings for his ninth save. He walked one and struck out two.

Kody Hinze's first-inning base hit to left field scored Ricardo Bonfante from second base for the Legends' first run.

Two second-inning Augusta errors helped the Legends go up 3-0. The GreenJackets had four errors in all.

The GreenJackets got one of the runs back in the third on a double by Ehire Adrianza. A run-scoring single by Dom Duggan in the fourth cut the Legends' lead to 3-2.

A groundout by Ronald Ramirez scored Russell Dixon in the seventh for the Legends' fourth run.

The GreenJackets cut the lead to 4-3 on a single by Wendell Fairley in the eighth, but Meszaros came in and got two outs to end Augusta's rally. Meszaros stayed in for the ninth and retired the side.

Third baseman Ebert Rosario had a game-high three hits, including a double, for the Legends.
