Legends leadoff hitter Jay Austin scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning and Lexington never trailed, beating the host Savannah Sand Gnats 4-1 Tuesday night.
Lexington scored two more runs in the sixth inning with two hits and a hit batsman to take a 3-0 lead.
Savannah scored its lone run in the bottom of the sixth. The Legends answered two innings later when Austin came around to score for the third time in the game, making it a 4-1 Legends advantage.
Lexington right-hander Ross Seaton (5-4) turned in a good performance for his first win since May 3. He gave up seven hits and one earned run while striking out three through five-plus innings. Seaton started the season 4-1 but had gone 0-3 in his last four starts before Tuesday.
Henry Villar came on to pitch four scoreless innings in relief for his first save of the season. Villar gave up two hits and struck out two to lower his ERA to 1.57.
Austin, Michael Diaz and Brian Pellegrini each had two-hit games for the Legends. All three players had a double and Diaz knocked in two runs.
The win was the third in a row and fourth in five games for the Legends, who came into this four-game series having lost nine of their last 11 games.
