J.D. Martinez and Kody Hinze hit back-to-back two-run doubles in the Legends' seven-run fifth inning, and Lexington beat the Grasshoppers 11-6 in Greensboro, N.C.
Hoppers starter Erick Carrillo had a 2-0 lead through four innings, but Ramon Benjamin came out to start the fifth. He recorded one out before giving up five earned runs and getting the hook.
Hinze also drove in a run in the sixth and has 50 RBI for the season, tops in the South Atlantic League. He leads the league in home runs with 12 and is in the top five in batting at .336.
David Duncan (2-0) picked up the win for the Legends, who lead the four-game series 2-1. He allowed five hits and two runs with two strikeouts over five innings.
Former University of Kentucky star Chris Wade had two hits and an RBI, and ex-Western Kentucky University player Terrence Dayleg drove in a run for Greensboro.
