Robby Donovan pitched seven shutout innings — extending his scoreless streak to 17 innings — and the Lexington Legends blanked the Greensboro Grasshoppers 6-0 Sunday at Greensboro, N.C.
The Legends took the last three of the four-game series.
Donovan (4-3) allowed six hits in seven innings, with two walks and four strikeouts. Arcenio Leon worked the final two innings and did not allow a base runner.
Miguel Arrendell led the Legends' 13-hit attack, going 3-for-5 with an RBI double.
J.D. Martinez, Aaron Bray, Rene Garcia and Grant Hogue had two hits apiece for the Legends.
Bray drove in the first run of the game with a first-inning single that scored Jiovanni Mier, who walked and stole second.
Mier's sacrifice fly in the third scored Hogue and gave Lexington a 2-0 lead.
The Legends scored two runs in the fifth, including Arrendell's RBI double, and two more in the eighth on RBI singles by Brian Kemp and Hogue.
Greensboro starter Curtis Petersen (1-4) took the loss.
