Jiovanni Mier's second-inning sacrifice fly proved to be decisive in the Lexington Legends' 4-2 victory against the Hickory Crawdads on Friday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
Emilio King went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Jordan Scott and Tyler Burnett added two hits apiece for the Legends.
Former University of Louisville star Andy Clark had two doubles and scored a run for Hickory. Joshua Richmond, another former Cardinal, also had a hit and scored a run.
Eastern grad Jason Chowning pitched one scoreless inning for his first career save. Chowning gave up one hit and lowered his ERA to 1.19.
