Legends blow chance at sweep with 2 unearned runs in 10th

Rogelio Noris doubled home the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, and the West Virginia Power went on to beat the Legends 7-5 Wednesday afternoon and avoid a three-game sweep in Lexington.

West Virginia opened the scoring in the second but then fell behind until tying the game in the ninth on Mel Rojas' triple and Justin Howard's double.

In the 10th, with two out, Kevin Mort reached on an error by Enrique Hernandez. He scored on Noris' double to left. Noris scored when Drew Maggi's fly ball was dropped by right fielder Adam Bailey.

The Legends put two runners on in the bottom of the 10th but could not score.

Justin Ennis (1-1) got the win after throwing two scoreless innings. David Martinez (3-3) took the loss after the two unearned runs in the 10th.
