Pair of sixth-inning singles send Legends past Intimidators

An up-and-down game for the Lexington Legends on Friday night ended up a 6-4 victory against the Intimidators in Kannapolis, N.C.

The Legends jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning before the Intimidators tied it in the third and took a 4-3 lead heading into the sixth.

A two-out single in the sixth inning by the Legends' Justin Gominsky tied it back up, and Zachary Johnson followed with another run-scoring single to put Lexington ahead for good.

Alex Todd delivered the Legends' final run in the seventh with an RBI single

A rocky start by the Legends' Kyle Hallock was still enough to earn the victory. He gave up 11 hits in five innings and all four runs he surrendered were earned.

Carlos Quevedo gave up one hit and struck out four batters in three innings before giving way to Jason Chowning, who earned his third save.

Johnson had two hits and two RBI. He has a team-leading 18 RBI this season.
