Legends roll to series sweep at Kannapolis

The Lexington Legends completed a four-game sweep of the Kannapolis Intimidators with an 11-6 victory on Sunday.

The Legends scored first on Zach Johnson's sacrifice fly in the third inning, his league-leading 24th of the season.

Kannapolis took the early lead in the bottom of the third, but the Legends rallied for three in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead.

The Intimidators tied it again with two runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Each team scored twice in the sixth, and the Legends took the lead for good with two runs in the seventh inning, one on a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt, the other on a bases-loaded walk to Jimmy Howick.

Dayan Diaz (3-0) got the win in relief for Lexington.
