Brandon Brown and Aderlin Rodriguez each drove in a pair of runs as the Savannah Sand Gnats defeated the Lexington Legends 9-3 on Sunday afternoon at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
Savannah took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Travis Taijeron singled home Brown, who had led off with a double.
The Sand Gnats added four runs in the sixth. Dustin Lawley, who was 3-for-3, led off with a single. He scored on a single by Charley Thurber. Brown later singled to score two more runs, and Luis Nieves scored on a double steal.
The Legends got on the board in the seventh on a triple by Drew Muren and a single by Alex Todd.

Savannah pulled away with four more runs in the ninth. Two came on a double by Rodriguez.
The Legends' Matt Duffy hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth.
Savannah starter Marcos Camarena (2-0) pitched five scoreless innings. Nick Tropeano (1-2), the Lexington starter, took the loss.
