CHARLESTON, W.Va. — First baseman Zachary Johnson and third baseman Matt Duffy combined for seven hits and six RBI to power the Lexington Legends past the host West Virginia Power 13-7 Wednesday night.
Johnson's three hits included a three-run homer in the third inning. Duffy, who is hitting .315, had four hits, including a solo shot in the sixth.
Leadoff man Delino DeShields Jr. also had a big game, getting two hits, two RBI and scoring three times.
The Legends, who are back at .500 (19-19) after winning their last two games, scored in five of the first six innings and got 17 hits. West Virginia helped Lexington by committing four errors.
Starter Jonas Dufek got his first win of the season, allowing five runs, but only three of them earned, in six innings. He struck out five.
Alex Hanson and Junior Sosa hit homers for the Power. Hanson had three hits and scored twice.
