The Lexington Legends tied the game with two outs in the ninth inning, and then scored four runs in the 10th to win 6-2 over the host Rome Braves Wednesday night.
With the Legends trailing 2-1 with two outs in the ninth, Terrance Gore reached base on an infield single. He stole second, and when catcher Chase Anselment's throw rolled into short center field for an error, Gore kept running and beat the throw home from center fielder Kyle Wren. The four-run rally in the 10th was highlighted by an RBI double by Fred Ford and a run-scoring infield single by Gore.
■ Cuban pitcher Misael Siverio told a Spanish-language newspaper he has defected to the United States and is going to try to make it to the major leagues. Siverio was part of the Cuban national team that traveled to Iowa Tuesday for an exhibition game against a collegiate all-star team from the U.S.
