Legends set start times for 2015 home games

Start times have been set for all 70 Lexington Legends home games in 2015, the 15th season of Legends baseball.

Fireworks shows will follow 19 Legends games next season, and the Legends will again offer Education Days and Business Days with special start times.

"It may be frigid outside, but things are still heating up at Whitaker Bank Ballpark with only 148 days until the Legends' home opener on April 16," said Sarah Bosso, Legends director of community relations and special events.

Games scheduled for Monday through Saturday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark will begin at 7:05 p.m., with the following exceptions:

■ Education Day games will be played at 10:05 a.m. on April 22, April 29 and May 11.

■ Business Day games on June 10 and Aug. 19 will begin at 1:35 p.m.

■ The Legends will hold a celebration of summer, Splash Day, July 22. Game time will be 12:05 p.m.

■ The final game of the season is set for Labor Day, Sept. 7, and will begin at 1:35 p.m.

Sunday home games in April and May will begin at 2:05 p.m., as will the Sunday game Sept. 6. Sunday home games in June and July, plus Aug. 9, will begin at 6:05 p.m.

Fireworks

Fireworks shows are scheduled for the nights of April 16 and 18; May 9, 22, 29 and 30; June 13, 19 and 20; July 4, 10, 11, 24 and 25; Aug. 7, 8, and 28; and Sept. 4 and 5.

The 2015 schedule features 10 home games in April, 15 in May, 10 in June, 16 in July, 14 in August and five in September.

The Legends, Class A affiliate of the American League champion Kansas City Royals, will open the 2015 home season April 16 at 7:05 p.m. against the West Virginia Power.
