Kentucky Speedway facts

Location: Sparta (Gallatin County)

Area: The speedway covers 1,000 acres.

Track dimensions: 1.5-mile tri-oval with 17-degree banking in turns 1 and 2, along with 14-degree banking in turns 3 and 4. The 1,600-foot backstretch is 57 feet wide and includes a 12-foot apron.

Seating: 107,000 grandstand seats; 36 luxury suites; 90-seat private interior Kentucky Club; 2,100-seat private exterior Bluegrass Club; 9 terrace boxes.

Campgrounds/parking: 125 private, backstretch RV spaces; 650 infield RV spaces; 3,000 reserved RV spaces; free parking for more than 30,000 cars. Trams and shuttle buses operate continuously, taking fans to and from the campgrounds and parking lots.

Saturday’s schedule

7 a.m. — Parking lots open

9 a.m. — KYS display opens, with family-friendly activities, interactive displays, live music and more.

10 a.m. — Ticket booths 10, 15 and 20 open

Noon — All spectator gates and Fan Zone open

12:15 p.m. — Live music: The Heather Roush Band

1:15 p.m. — Live music: County Wide Band

1:30 p.m. — NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage opens

2 p.m. — Hospitality village opens

2 p.m. — FreestyleMX Show in display area (also at 4 and 6 p.m.)

2:15 p.m. — Live music: JD Shelburne

3 p.m. — Kids autograph session in KYS Kids Zone with Ryan Newman, Kyle Larson and Joey Logano (open to first 125 kids)

3:15 p.m. — Live music: Christian O’Connor

4:15 p.m. — Live music: Eddy Davis

5:15 p.m. — Live music: Frankie Ballard, Liz Moriondo

6:15 p.m. — Live music: Abi Ann

6:55 p.m. — NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400 pre-race ceremonies

7:30 p.m. — NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400 (400 miles/267 laps)

Tickets

▪ Grandstand and tower tickets available ranging from $59 to $109. (Ticket prices increase $10 on race day)

▪ Fan Zone passes available for $115.

TICKET POLICIES

Refunds: Kentucky Speedway does not issue refunds for any reason. If the race is postponed, tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date.

Re-entry: Fans may use their race tickets to exit and re-enter the track an unlimited number of times. Tickets must be scanned upon exiting and re-entering.

Scalping: Kentucky Speedway prohibits the resale of tickets, at any value, on its property.

What to wear and bring

▪ Comfortable shoes are a must. The speedway covers a lot of ground, and so will your feet.

▪ A fanny pack or small backpack is useful for carrying essentials, keeps your hands free and makes for a light load.

▪ Seat cushions are an added comfort during a long night on the hard grandstands.

▪ Some additional items for your pre-race checklist:

Race tickets, Cash, Credit card, Camera/cellphone, Binoculars, Sunscreen, Hat, Earplugs, Sunglasses, Hand sanitizer, Race scanner (available for rental outside Gate 15), Rain poncho

COOLER POLICY

Fans may bring one 14-inch cooler and one carry-in item (i.e. backpack or purse) into the speedway. Coolers may contain unopened plastic bottles or aluminum cans (water or soft drinks) and food. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed. All coolers and carry-in items will be inspected at the gates.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Aerosol cans; Alcoholic beverages; Animals (except service animals); Baby strollers; Balloons or beach balls; Chairs of any kind; Drones; Fireworks or missile-like objects; Glass containers of any kind; Illegal substances; Laser pointers; Noise-making devices (bells, bullhorns, whistles, etc.); Projectiles of any kind; Seat cushion with metal arm rests; Selfie sticks; Sticks, bats, poles or clubs; Tripods; Umbrellas; Video or movie cameras; Weapons: guns, knives, mace, handcuffs, nightsticks, blackjacks or other items.

WRISTBANDS FOR CHILDREN

Children may receive a free wristband at the information and guest services booths around the speedway. The band will help your child be located should you become separated.

Traffic tips

▪ Arrive early. The highest traffic time is within four hours of the race.

▪ Make sure to have a full tank of gas. Getting into and out of the speedway could take more time than you anticipate.
