The NBA's Houston Rockets will recall former Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson from their Developmental League affiliate on Sunday, General Manager Daryl Morey confirmed to the Houston Chronicle on Thursday.
Patterson, a first-round draft pick by the Rockets in June, has averaged 17.3 points on 50 percent shooting and 9.3 rebounds in seven games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the D-League.
Patterson had 24 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots in a win against Reno on Wednesday.
"We're excited about Pat's progression and development," Rockets vice president Gerrson Rosas, the Vipers' GM, told the Chronicle. "He's taking advantage of the opportunity. He's meeting the objectives and guidelines that we set for him."
